Electroluminescent Lamps

The generation of light, by applying the electricity to a material such as a semiconductor or phosphor. LEDs, laser diodes and electroluminescent displays are examples. See LED, laser diode and EL display.

An Electroluminescent Lamp is a capacitve structure with a phosphor dielectric sandwitched between two electrodes when AS i/p is provided a change in electromagnetic field is generated with the phosphor which causes emission of light.

Where are Electroluminescent Lamps
?
